Bay Head is not a school, it is a community. What makes us different is the level of commitment of the the teachers, parents, administration, and most of all the students. Programs like this would not be possible without each of those groups supporting one another and remembering that we are here to enrich our society. From Buddha to the staff of BHS, I thank you.

Once again Mr. Kennedy, the staff and the STUDENTS at Bay Head School went above and beyond for Peace! I truly enjoyed the inspirational readings that resonated from great thinkers to great students. The Acapella singers, the 4th grade Spanish class and all the students who read, especially the 3 narrators all did a fantastic job! Looking forward to seeing what is next...Thank you!

Last night was purely magical. Watching the students perform, recite poems in Spanish, and give a detailed account of peacemakers throughout time was so inspiring. Mr. Kennedy never ceases to amaze and brings such a high caliber of expectation for his students, which pushes their thinking and prepares them for the future. Thank you also to the teachers and staff who volunteered their time to work with the students to ensure a wonderful performance. We are so very lucky to be part of a school that promotes positive student engagement, embraces the arts and above all always comes together for our students. Well done!

What a fantastic and inspiring event! I was fortunate to be able to watch the event unfold from concept to production through my work in Mr. Kennedy's class. Students from four grade levels with various talents and abilities mixed knowledge from different content areas to present an educational and uplifting presentation about peace at quite a relevant time. The poise that the students displayed as they ran the show and presented their information was beyond impressive!

What an upbeat and inspiring show! Not only were the students composed and eloquent but they were heartfelt and real, two things that are hard to teach. Precepts for life were conveyed last night from children to adults and that is what will make the future more peaceful. Congratulations to Mr. Kennedy whose passion for teaching shows in every single one of his students.

Excellent and as always the students kept the scope of the project quiet which added to the WOW factor when it all came together. Well done and up lifting.

What a wonderful job sharing such a powerful message. The guidance that the students received was evident in their heartfelt presentation. Peace is much more then a theme, it's an everyday decision and this helps our children understand how important are the choices they make.

I thought the presentation was very well done. Everyone knew their material and it was very impressing. There was a high level public speaking skill that the students had. There wasn't a lot of adult super-vison and I was impressed that the kids ran the show on their own.

If someone asked me why I choose to send my children to the Bay Head School, I would show them a video of last night's performance of PEACE ONE DAY. The performance and the incredible art work encompass the beauty of our little school: the passion of the teachers (thank you once again, Mr. K) and the students, the hands on and grass roots way of bringing real, meaningful ideas to life, the way the students learn to speak in public and dig deep to research the information they are speaking about and the way our school somehow enables all of its willing students to find his or her niche in the vast world of education and nurture it. An unprecedented job well done. Congratulations to all.

I'm very impressed with the performances last night! It was so great to see the kids discussing various leaders from many historical time periods. Now more than ever, our young people need to know that it should be "Might FOR right, not might makes right." Bay Head School and the community itself is a special place. Thank you to the teachers and staff that helped set up the event, and thank you to the students that put on the event! Taking part in events like this Peace One Day celebration will help our kids develop the skills they need to be the leaders of America in the near future. 11/17/2016 06:01:13 pm

Peace Day part two was informative, inspiring and presented with great spirit by very confident and interesting presenters. I enjoyed it thoroughly and will remind myself in moments of disagreement with the world around me, how much I learned from the fine students of Bay Head School on the subject of maintaining peace. I love that the students learned so much in one project. They learned about all those historical figures' views on peace; gained experience in public speaking (wow!); expressed themselves through art and music; and saw the importance of taking a public stand for peace. That, plus all the patience, cooperation, and hard work it takes to put on such a wonderful evening. Loved it!

A special thank you to Mr. Kennedy and the staff and students at Bay Head School for sharing their incredible Peace Day insights and experiences with us. I love how the concept of “peace” was not just taught for a day, but has been interwoven throughout the curriculum this year to include technology, art, music, and Spanish. Peace is not just something our children talk about, they have learned to live it through their research, conversations, presentations and kind deeds for others including the donation to Doctors without Borders. The videos, quotes, speeches, musical selections, poetry and artwork were inspiring, educational and timely given the events in our world today. As each child presented, I certainly felt that we were moving one step closer to achieving Peace One Day.

Thank you to everyone who participated in Peace Day! There are so many lessons to be learned here from the history, public speaking, to the underlying principal that peace starts within each and every one of us. I am reminded how special our community is when we all join together in support of our school. This, in and of itself, spreads peace and joy...One thing that stood out was out well the students addressed the crowd and articulated their words indicating they knew their subjects very well. It takes a special teacher to put this together and we thank you for your extra time and effort!

I thought the students did a fabulous job at the Peace Assembly. They were prepared and enthusiastic. I feel this is an important subject, particularly during these uncertain times in our country. All generations need to be reminded of how similar we really all are and how we all want the same things here in America and across the globe…peace. Thank you Mr. Kennedy!

One of the best presentations as a whole school project. You can see the words the children spoke had meaning and reverance to them. We all collectively want peace in our lives and homes. Peace come from above down inside and outside. It was a wonderful night to share.

The best part of attending a Bay Head School event is walking away learning something I didn't know before. This has always been the case and Peace Day was was no exception. My favorite part is that every student contributes in some way. Every student was a part of this special event with a most important message...kindness and compassion for others. Thank you, Mr. Kennedy for always finding unique and exciting ways to introduce important information to our children.
